Mr. Charles Barnett, CBI

President

Mr. Barnett has been involved both as a principal and as a consultant, in buying, building, and selling business and business equities in Texas for over 25 years. He is considered an expert in the valuation and sale of educational businesses. He holds the prestigious Certified Business Intermediary designation from the International Business Brokers Association and is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and Texas Securities Broker-Dealer for private stock transactions.

His experience includes education, real estate development, high technology, basic services and fund management.

Mr. Barnett brings a multi-disciplinary approach to each client relationship. Drawing on his extensive experience in both business and real estate, he coordinates a team of professionals working to make lasting deals that are fair to both parties.

This philosophy explains the exceptional level of repeat and referral business that the Barnett Capital Group receives.

He is a member of the International Business Brokerage Association (IBBA), Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Mr. Barnett holds BA Degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Rhodes College. He holds both Texas Securities Broker-Dealer and Real Estate Broker Licenses. He is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and is a team Captain in the Houston Tennis Association.

He is married with twin eight year old daughters.

Chandra Gonzalez

Consultant – Education and Childcare Industry

Chandra Graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s Degree and, upon graduation, she worked for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD with inclusion elementary students throughout the district.

She moved back to Houston in 1995 and began an eight year career with an industrial staffing company and held various positions within the company, rising to the position of regional sales manager.

In 2005, she opened her own childcare facility in League City that she that she owned and operated for five years. Upon selling her childcare facility as a client of The Barnett Capital Group she decided to accept a position with our company as a Consultant and has been here since April 2010.

Chandra is married and has an 18 year old son and a 10 year old daughter.

Mr. Earl Barnett

Director

Mr. Barnett has been selling Businesses and Commercial Real Estate in the Houston Area for over 20 years. He is the Chairman of the Bay Area Commercial Real Estate Network (BACREN) and was named Realtor of the Year for the Bay Area in 2001.

Mr. Barnett holds the designation of Certified Buyer representative, and is also a Certified Equity Marketing Specialist with the National Council of Exchangers. He holds a Gold Card certification for IRS Code 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors and the Houston Association of Realtors.

Prior to starting his business career, Mr. Barnett was Colonel Barnett of the USAF. His distinguished 30 year career included a tour in Vietnam flying F-4 Phantoms in combat, where he was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses, nine Air Medals, the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit. Col. Barnett finished out his Air Force career as base commander at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan, which was the largest Air Force Base in the world at the time.

Mr. Barnett holds a BBA from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Masters in Business Management from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Barnett is married with four children and is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Doug Barnett

Director

Mr. Barnett is one of the world’s most successful money mangers and private equity investors. He has handled portfolios for some of the world’s richest people including Sir John Templeton of Templeton Funds, George Soros and Julian Robertson of Tiger Funds. Mr. Barnett’s TFE hedge fund was the 2nd best performing country specific fund in the world with a gain of over 100% in 2003 and over 1500% over the last 14 years for TFE and it’s predecessor privately traded accounts.

Mr. Barnett uses his extensive experience to provide guidance on deal structuring and strategy for The Barnett Capital Group, LLC. His funds also offer BCG clients a range of opportunities for their cash balances.

Mr. Barnett holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton and his MBA from UCLA. Mr. Barnett is married with three children.

Mr. Ray Wyatt

Consultant

Mr. Wyatt is a licensed CPA with an extensive and diverse business background. He is an expert in business valuation as well as computerized accounting and management systems. He has worked for Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft. In addition, he has implemented J.D. Edwards and Mapics software.

Mr. Wyatt works with clients preparing their companies for sale as well as aiding buyers with due diligence. Mr. Wyatt holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Houston.

Ms. Francis Brockington

Consultant – Education and Childcare Industry

Ms. Brockington is an expert on early childhood education and the operation of schools. She is currently an adjunct professor at a local community college as well as director of the college’s laboratory school. Ms. Brockington does accreditation and operations consulting for clients in the Houston area.

Ms. Brockington is a member or board member of NAEYC, GCAEYC, HAAEYC and TAEYC. She is a frequent presenter at workshops and conferences of these organizations and is the co-author of the book “Blast Off” for early childhood teachers.

Ms. Brockington holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.
